Continuing the discussion from our Inspire! Event on Teenagers, we asked for people in attendance to reflect on their Teenagers years (current and past).
I know we like to imagine childhood as carefree and innocent – and for some that may have been the case. But from my perspective, it’s never been particularly easy to be a kid.
At our Inspire! Events, we continue the discussion in Small groups with our table-mates, and then have a full room discussion on what more we can do.

So just what are ACES? Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are stressful or traumatic experiences that can have a huge impact on children and teenagers throughout their lives.

Some of you know that I used to be a job developer for Kandu. I campaigned for the job because I felt called to work with people with developmental disabilities.
TONIGHT at 7pm, our peer-support group for parents of children with developmental disabilities will be meeting at the Momentum Center Annex.
