SMART RECOVERY GROUP - Currently on Hold

Recovery through Self-Empowerment: Our purpose is to help participants gain independence from any addictive behavior. We believe that individuals seeking recovery should be fully informed about the range of recovery options and free to choose among them. Our program encourages participants to take responsibility for their own recovery. Our meetings support their capacity to regulate their own behavior.

Mutual Help: As participants progress in recovery their focus can shift to enjoying the activities of a healthy, fulfilling and productive life, including the satisfaction of assisting new participants in SMART Recovery.

VIRTUAL NARCAN TRAINING

The Grand Rapids Red Project is made up of community members who are passionate advocates and activists in the fight against HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and accidental overdose. We are a diverse group in every sense of the word, and we celebrate that fact. To stop the spread of HIV , Hepatitis C, prevent unnecessary fatalities from overdose and to encourage the overall health of our community, it will take all of us, from all walks of life, experiences and choices, doing our part and taking a piece of ownership in the process.

The Red Project offers Naloxone (also known as Narcan) for FREE to individuals, family members, and friends who want to be prepared for loved one who may be at risk. The prescription, a brief training, and the medication is provided on site by knowledgeable Red Project staff and volunteers.
